During the May Day holiday, the Jinji Lake Art Museum carried out an art co-creation campaign based on the “Panning for Gold” Fang Lijun Art Exhibition that is set to last till Sept 6. The campaign attracted many young people.

The exhibition, with over 300 works, traces the over-40-year creative journey of Fang Lijun, a leading figure in contemporary art in China. Every visitor could receive a “Little Fish Pin” inspired by Fang’s goldfish-themed works.

The art co-creation campaign highlighted the signature elements of Fang’s art works. Visitors were invited to complete a small artistic print work by stamping patterns inspired by these elements on a self-prepared stamp book or a limited-edition post card offered by the museum.

It is worth mentioning that professional docents served on site to explain the creation background and characteristics of Fang’s works to help visitors better understand them.
