The 2026 Jinji Lake Light Chasing Walk, another parallel event of the SIP May 4 Youth Art Week, was held on May 1, when over 30 young people walked along the Jinji Lake shore to enjoy SIP’s beautiful scenery and explore its profound culture.
Starting from the Jinji Station 10, the participants visited a number of landmark projects around the lake.
At Jinji Lake Art Museum, the participants viewed the “Panning for Gold” Fang Lijun Art Exhibition, resonating with artist’s spiritual essence shaped over time and learning about SIP’s cultural achievements accumulated in innovative development.
The participants then took photos with the lakeside sculptures, enjoyed the 270-degree lake view connected with European-style architecture at Moon Harbor, experienced considerate services at the Jinji Lake Runner Station, and tried their hands on traditional crafts at Fine Crafts of Suzhou.
The participants later sat down on the lakeside stairs to watch the orange sunset light gradually covering the entire sky, and then experienced the blend of fashion and art between the 128-meter-tall “Suzhou Eye” Ferris wheel and the newly opened Suzhou Museum of Contemporary Art.
