The Fine Arts Exhibition of The Designers, themed “Blend·Mood of Jiangnan – Dedicated to Memories Fading into Time”, opened at Ming Gallery of Art, SIP on the World Environment Day which is annually observed worldwide on June 5 to encourage awareness of and action for environmental protection.
The event is jointly sponsored by the Art Committee of the World Eco-Design Organization (WEDO), Sungent Harmony Development and Jiangsu Province Industrial Design Association, certified by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).

On display are 100 artworks including paintings, sculptures, installations and handiworks by 63 designers across the country, responding to the UN’s global call for climate action.

The designers reimagine nature through artistic techniques. The works freeze-frame the slowly fading natural landscapes while preserving precious moments of ecological evolution, establishing a “visual archive” that possesses both aesthetic value and documentary significance for the disappearing and endangered ecological scenes, guiding viewers to confront the fragile reality that the ecological environment is faced with.

According to the curator, the exhibition is designed to remind the viewers of the precious treasures gifted by nature, and inspire them to devote themselves to concrete actions of environmental protection.
