Recently, after a year-long renovation, the “Sublimation” sculpture at the intersection of Xinghu Street and Dushuhu Avenue in SIP has taken on a new look.

The sculpture, a symbol of SIP’s spirit, was first completed in 2003. It consists of two steel arches of different sizes connected by cables, forming an enlarged tunnel silhouette. As drivers approach the exit of the Xinghu Street Tunnel, their view opens up — as if passing through a grand gateway to the world.

The renovation has not only eliminated safety hazards, but also restored and enhanced the sculpture’s artistic appearance. Thanks to the meticulous work through all four seasons, the sculpture now features taut and powerful cables, evenly toned steel structures, and a well-layered lighting system.
