Recently, Sino-Europe Trucking (Jiangsu) Logistics Service Co Ltd, a company in the China (Jiangsu) Pilot Free Trade Zone Suzhou Area (Suzhou FTZ) in SIP, successfully delivered a batch of mowers and sweepers from Vietnam to Germany via China. This marks the Sino-European trucking service pioneered in the FTZ has linked the ASEAN, China and Europe.

Known as the “fourth logistics channel” after sea, air and rail freight, the Sino-European trucking service boasts door-to-door land transport via heavy-duty trucks. Compared to traditional transportation modes, it balances speed and cost efficiently, cutting transport time by two to three weeks compared with sea transportation and reducing expenses by about 40% compared with air transportation.

In the latest case, the goods were picked up in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, and then transported to China through the port in Pingxiang, South China’s Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region. Following customs clearance, the goods exit China via a port in Northwest China’s Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, and finally arrived in Germany. The entire door-to-door transportation process only took about 19 days.
