Scanfil, Europe’s largest listed provider of electronics manufacturing services, broke ground on a new project in SIP on June 8, aiming to expand its Suzhou plant by about 20,000 square meters.

Headquartered in Finland, Scanfil delivers end-to-end solutions including design, prototyping, supply chain management, and electronics assembly. It serves global customers in the Aerospace & Defense, Energy & Cleantech, Industrial and Medtech & Life Science sectors. The Suzhou plant specializes in electronics manufacturing and system integration. It serves a broad range of global customers.

The additional investment is driven by a positive customer outlook. Last year, Scanfil’s global customer outlook improved and sales reached record levels, boosting its growth especially in China. The second phase of the Suzhou plant, with high level of automation, is scheduled to come into operation in May 2027.
