Suzhou Singapore International School (SSIS), which was founded in 1996 as the first school for children of expatriates in SIP, hosted its 21st International Family Day event on May 30, bringing together nearly 3,000 participants including students, parents and teachers from over 50 countries and regions. The event, held ahead of the school’s 30th anniversary, blended cultural exchange, global cuisine, and charity.

Many families participated in the opening parade in traditional costumes to the accompaniment of delightful music, waving their hands to the cheering spectators.

The global food zone featured flavors from 20 countries and regions. All the specialties were prepared by parents and teachers.

The 80-booth bazaar offered dazzling creative handiworks and other products, while performances, lucky draws and games added to the festive atmosphere.
It is worth mentioning that, following a SSIS tradition, all the proceeds from the event will be used to fund social welfare projects and student clubs.
