Recently, two innovation and entrepreneurship competitions were held in Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU) and Renmin University of China (RUC) Suzhou Campus in SIP as part of the Seed Group of the “Win in Suzhou ? Win the Future” 2026 Global Entrepreneurship Competition, a program aimed at discovering and supporting young people’s startup projects that are expected to alter the landscapes of AI, biomedicine, new energy, intelligent governance and other emerging sectors.
The XJTLU Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, held on May 27, attracted 193 projects. After online evaluation, 26 gained entry to the offline competition where each project team had seven minutes to present their project, and three minutes to answer the judges’ questions. Finally, five projects advanced to the Suzhou finals of the Seed Group of the “Win in Suzhou ? Win the Future” 2026 Global Entrepreneurship Competition.

The RUC Suzhou Campus Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, focused on AI-powered social governance, took place on May 30. The event attracted 52 projects, and 17 of them advanced to the offline roadshow, with five advancing to the next round.
