On June 9, the first batch of Xanomeline-Trospium (KarXT), Zai Lab’s new drug for the treatment of schizophrenia, left the company’s warehouse in SIP for market, offering a new therapeutic option for adult patients with schizophrenia.

KarXT is an oral M1/M4-preferring muscarinic acetylcholine receptor agonist for the treatment of psychiatric and neurological conditions. It has demonstrated statistically significant reductions of schizophrenia symptoms, while offering a superior safety profile that avoids common adverse reactions associated with traditional antipsychotic medications.
