A novel home-based risk warning system for acute myocardial infarction (AMI) patients, developed by Dr. Zhang Wenli’s team at Ruijin Hospital, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, is rapidly advancing toward clinical use, thanks to the support from the Regional University-Industry Technology Transfer Center for Biopharmaceuticals (Suzhou, Jiangsu) in SIP.

Integrating AI and smart wearable technologies, the system is designed to address the critical gap in post-discharge care by enabling real-time collection and analysis of heart sounds, electrocardiogram (ECG) and other physiological data. It accurately predicts major adverse cardiovascular events such as re-infarction, providing doctors with continuous dynamic data.

The center is providing end-to-end support for the research outcome to go into market, including proof of concept, financing, and industry connections.
