On June 16, Alphamab Oncology, a biopharmaceutical company in SIP, completed the first commercial shipment of its new drug Anbenitamab Injection (KN026), the first domestically developed HER2 bispecific antibody approved for marketing in China. The drug fills the gap in advanced gastric cancer treatment in the country.

The drug was approved in May by the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) of China for market launch for use in combination with chemotherapy for the treatment of adult patients with locally advanced or metastatic HER2-positive gastric cancer/gastroesophageal junction cancer (GC/GEJ) who have previously received at least one trastuzumab-containing regimen.
Clinical data show that, under standard chemotherapy, the median survival for advanced gastric cancer patients is only about 11 months, while the Anbenitamab Injection combined with chemotherapy extends the median survival to 20.9 months.

Compared with similar products, this new drug demonstrates stronger antitumor activity, broader indications, lower toxicity, and higher clinical safety. Its formulation can be directly diluted for use, significantly simplifying the clinical administration process.
