In SIP, the “spring symphony” of major construction projects is going on.

In APP Science & Technology Park, Nexteer Automotive’s Asia-Pacific R&D and smart manufacturing headquarters is being built, with a planned floor area of more than 70,000 square meters. Long-armed cranes swung into action, precisely hoisting building materials, while over 140 workers were busy in various areas, engaging in tasks such as steel structure installation and welding.

Roche Diagnostics’ reagent and equipment manufacturing and R&D base is progressing smoothly, roughly 30% completed. The project, which marks Roche’s largest ever single investment in China, is expected to come into operation in 2028.

At the core of Sangtian Science Island, the construction of Suzhou East Railway Station, the country’s first fully underground high-speed rail hub with a design speed of 350 kilometers/hour, is in full swing. The station is scheduled to open to traffic by the end of 2027, and the TOD (transit-oriented development) area centering on it is expected to be fully operational by 2028.

It is reported that SIP will advance a number of high-quality projects this year, including eight projects selected as provincial-level major projects and 59 as municipal-level key projects.
